Investing in therapy is investing in yourself.

Like caring for your physical health or pursuing education, therapy is a form of self-investment that pays off—in stronger relationships, deeper self-awareness, and a greater sense of wellbeing.

For many clients, the impact reaches far beyond the therapy room, shaping how they show up in daily life.

“Do you take insurance?”

I am an out-of-network provider, meaning I don’t work directly with insurance companies.

That said, I do provide superbills—detailed receipts that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

Oftentimes, it can take less than 5 minutes to submit an out-of-network claim and upload the superbill via your insurance’s website for processing and reimbursement.

A few important notes about insurance:

  • Reimbursement varies based on your insurance plan. Many PPO plans offer partial coverage for out-of-network therapy.

  • You are responsible for verifying benefits. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider and ask about their policies for out-of-network mental health services.

  • I do not communicate with insurance companies. I do not submit claims on your behalf.

  • To check if your plan offers reimbursement for therapy, you can ask your insurance company:

    • “Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health therapy?”

    • “What percentage of therapy costs will be reimbursed?”

    • “How do I submit a superbill?”

This phone call is an opportunity for you to ask questions about my approach or experience, share your therapy goals, and see if I’d be a good fit for you.

It’s also a chance for me to assess whether I believe I can be of service to you. It’s possible you may need a higher level of care that I’m unable to provide, and if that’s needed, I will email you a few trusted referrals.

Office Policies

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

When you make an appointment, that time is reserved just for you.

While therapy is most effective with consistent sessions, I understand that things come up, and if you give me at least 24 hours’ notice by phone or email, you may reschedule or cancel your appointment.

If you give less than 24 hours’ notice, I charge a cancellation / no-show fee to cover basic operational costs that exist whether you attend the session or not.

I understand that illnesses and emergencies happen beyond your control, so I charge only 50% of my regular session fee, rather than 100% which is industry standard.

If you have an in-person session scheduled, you’ll have the option to switch to a virtual session to avoid the cancellation fee.

Payment & Payment Methods

To keep my business running smoothly, I require clients to keep an active credit card on file through the client portal.

Because payment is due at the time of session, your credit card on file will be charged at the time of session. Invoices are generated automatically and can be accessed at any time via the client portal.
